Albino Montisci, Sardinian singer and songwriter, started studying the guitar when he was 11 as a self-taught boy and he joined many bands that played modern music. His passion for music brought him to the Conservatorio of Torino, where he studied classical guitar and made his début with a chamber music ensemble, showing his very good skills as a guitar soloist; after that he started teaching music in many schools and ‘Liceos’. In 1978 he reached a turning point in his life and he started to write songs and to perform not only as a music player but as a singer. After his first performance in Holland in 1982, he became very popular, revealing himself to be one of the best interpreter of European Gospel Music, and he started a very successful career full of tours and concerts. Albino appeared in big music Festivals, such as Vindonissa, Rolle, Flevo Festival, bringing him all over Switzerland, Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, Holland, Great Britain, Finland, Sweden, Poland, Slovenian Republic, Czech Republic and Austria. In 1987 he is the winner of International Gospel Music Association Award (USA) as “best not English-speaking musician, song-writer and singer”. In the meantime his music achieved widespread success and his live performances were broadcasted by European Televisions (NOS - Holland, SDR - Germany, Switzerland Television and RAI - National Italian Television). Up today he has 14 recordings to his credit, also thanks to the collaboration of his wife, who is co-writer of many of the lyrics. The last productions of 2005 are “Diario”, a collection of songs from 1979 to 1992 and “Ma che bravo”, songs and stories for children, made in co-operation with “Fionda di Davide”, an Italian Association working with children. In between 2004 and 2005 Albino worked for RAI on the children program “L’Albero Azzurro” (The Blue Tree). In the past years, Albino Montisci produced and arranged many recordings for many artists in Italy and abroad. He is also testimonial of Humanitarian Association “Compassion”.
